Meet the Director

“The most successful students are not necessarily the ones with the highest IQ, but rather those who are organized, know how to manage their time, and are able to study effectively.”

Phyllis Gordon,
Director and Founder

925.735.1655

As a teacher with over 25 years of experience in schools throughout the Bay Area, Phyllis recognized that her most successful students were organized, could manage their time well, and used effective study skills.

By incorporating these life skills into her curriculum, she was able to help her students achieve their potential. The students who were willing to work on these skills attained top grades. These three skills have become the foundation of the GOAL™ Program.

She actively involves parents and teachers in the program, as she recognizes that their participation is key to the success of the students.

Phyllis has GATE certification as well as vast experience working with students who have learning disabilities, as well as ADD and ADHD. She has been a Mentor Teacher, a Reading Resource teacher and a Comp Trainer, helping new teachers with classroom organization and management.

She also gives parent workshops throughout the Bay Area, educating parents on ways they can help their children be more successful in school.
